Resident Evil 7 Biohazard: The Horror Game: News, Review and trailer

Dec 21, 2016 by

Resident Evil 7 biohazard is the next major part of the famous Resident Evil series, and gives a new direction to franchising. A real tenor among the horror games, the series of Resident Evil returns for a 7th opus called “Biohazard” in tribute to the first title of the saga which celebrates its 20 years this year.

Presented by Capcom during the E3 2016 during the conference Sony, this episode marks a major turning point for the series: it will be compatible VR, enough to totally renew the gaming experience! Obviously, the title will be playable in the first person without using a virtual reality helmet, but it is a technology that lends itself particularly to the genre. To be reserved for fans of chills and jumpscares.

The top level with the Resident Evil 7 biohazard Engine

Obviously, the game put the maximum on the immersion of the player. A key aspect that becomes even more important when virtual reality comes into play! To captivate the player, it is a brand new graphics engine that is used: the Resident Evil Engine, capable of producing high quality graphics and especially very successful light effects as the trailer proves.

The story takes place in a contemporary America, in a rural environment, after the events of Resident Evil 6. A demo of the game named “Beginning Hour” is available at E3 and for subscribers to PlaystationPlus. She will land on the other supports at a later date, but there is a similar feeling to Hideo Kojima’s notorious P.T.: an anguished atmosphere and elusive enemies for a terrifying experience as they are loved.

Playstation VR prepares its entry

This also means that Resident Evil 7 could soon be compatible with the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive or even Samsung, which with its Gear VR and its partnership with Microsoft recently revived in the virtual reality video game. Sony therefore takes here, a non-negligible exclusivity and stuffs a little more its catalog of games VR.

We can count on Capcom to provide us with a particularly immersive game, which will thrill the hardest of us. Resident Evil 7 is a “survival-horror” rather than an adventure game, as were the previous episodes. Regarding the scenario, little information has come out, if not the name of the hero will be called Ethan, and the story should follow that of Resident Evil 6.

Resident Evil 7 biohazard is the heart of the Exciting Horror:

It is one at a time of a return to the roots of the game and a new step towards an experience Truly terrifying. Resident Evil 7 is a radical, first-person transition in a photorealistic style made possible by the new engine of Capcom, the RE Engine, which guarantees an unprecedented immersion level and places you at the heart of the Exciting Horror.

The action takes place in rural America today, just after the spectacular events of Resident Evil® 6. Players experience horror directly in a subjective view. Resident Evil 7 epitomizes the emblematic game elements of the series, such as exploration and the scary atmosphere that helped define the genre of survival horror twenty years ago and also Day gameplay systems to move the genre into a new era.

Back to basics

The game promises an experience close to the first titles of the series, taking again the main elements of the gameplay of the series while inciting to the anguishing exploration that made its success. With gameplay and graphics taking advantage of new technologies, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard promises to be interesting.
